Most people don’t visit Seoul, South Korea to eat tacos. But Gusto Taco is the No. 1 Mexican Seoul Restaurant on Trip Advisor for a reason. They serve the best tacos in Seoul…if not the whole Asian continent.
The Background
Gusto Taco’s friendly owner Aaron, a native New Yorker, is a pleasure to speak with. If you’re lucky, he might be at the restaurant when you’re there. Aaron will explain that his overarching goal has been bringing quality Mexican cuisine to Seoul at affordable prices. He’s more than achieved this at Gusto Taco.
Hand-pressed Tortillas for Tasty Tacos
Their tortillas are as advertised…I don’t know if I’ve tasted fresher. They completely do away with any machines – all their tortillas are carefully hand-pressed! You can certainly taste this in every bite of taco, each dripping with countless flavors.
For tacos, you’ve got several options – chipotle pork, ground beef, grilled chicken, tofu, vegetarian, chorizo sausage and eggs, grilled tilapia, or grilled steak.
Below are tofu tacos…it doesn’t get better than this.
Below are chipotle pork tacos.
Other Food
There are plenty of other items on their menu, such as the Mucho Bowl with chorizo sausage and egg (below).
They’ve also got chimichanga, taquitos picante, quesadillas, nachos, a gusto cheese burger, and a pullled pork sandwich.
Homemade Lemonade
In between obligatory helpings of kimchi and bulgogi in Seoul, you have to pay a visit to Gusto Taco. Again, there’s a reason why Gusto Taco is the No. 1 Seoul Restaurant on Trip Advisor.
